In September 2026, Shijiazhuang Boda Industrial Pump Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that its TZ series horizontal slurry pumps have officially passed the EU ATEX explosion-proof certification and obtained the EU Type Examination Certificate issued by SCA (Notified Body No. 2336), an EU Notified Body. This marks another milestone in the company’s internationalization journey, granting Boda’s explosion-proof pump products access to the EU market and lifting its global competitiveness to a new level.
This certification was carried out in accordance with EU Explosion-proof Directive 2014/34/EU, complying strictly with international standards including EN IEC 60079-0:2018 and EN ISO 80079-36/37/38. Certificate No.: SCA26ATEX612X.
The certification covers horizontal slurry pumps with power range of 0.75–1400kW. The explosion-proof marking for the complete unit is I M2 Ex h I Mb. It is suitable for ambient temperatures from -20℃ to +40℃, and meets the safety requirements for use in explosive hazardous areas such as underground coal mines, petrochemical industries, etc. It is matched with YBX3 series flameproof motors marked I M2 Ex db I Mb to fully guarantee operational safety.
The TZ series explosion-proof horizontal slurry pump is a flagship product developed by Boda Industrial Pump for special flammable and explosive working conditions. Adopting a single-stage, single-suction cantilever structure and integrated modular design, it combines high wear resistance, reliable explosion-proof performance and easy maintenance.
Flameproof Power Configuration. Matched with YBX3 series flameproof three-phase asynchronous motors. The housing adopts flameproof enclosure structure, which can withstand internal explosion pressure and prevent flame propagation outwards. Its explosion-proof marking is Ex db I Mb, with protection class IP55 or higher.
Full-path Temperature Control. The maximum surface temperature of all exposed parts including motor housing and pump casing is strictly limited below 135℃ (Temperature Class T4), which is much lower than the ignition temperature of common explosive gases to eliminate risks at the source.
Non-sparking Safety Design. The coupling uses non-metallic elastic elements with fully enclosed metal guard to prevent sparks caused by collision of rotating components. The shaft seal assembly adopts multi-seal structure to avoid leakage of flammable and explosive media out of the pump.
High Adaptability for Diverse Working Conditions. The full series covers inlet diameters from 40 to 300 mm, flow rate from 4.5 to 3168 m³/h and head from 3.5 to 133.7 m. It can convey abrasive and corrosive slurry containing solid particles such as ore, coal cinder and sediment, suitable for explosion-proof applications in chemical, mining, coal, metallurgy and other industries.
ATEX is a mandatory access directive of the EU for equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres, and also one of the world’s most authoritative explosion-proof certification systems.
